Humanized Timon and Pumbaa Aren’t as Creepy As You’d Think

timon-and-pumba.jpg
Once again, courtesy of the fine folks over at DeviantArt, there’s a new sketch I want to share with you because I thought it was pretty damn cool. It’s artist Fernando Mendonca’s vision of what a humanized Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King might look like, had they been real people rather than jungle critters.
I think it’s a pretty cool imagine, and I’d definitely be curious to see more characters rendered this way from the film. Simba would just be a cartoon Jonathan Taylor Thomas. What the hell ever happened to that kid anyway?

Coyote Hungry: Cross-Over Fanfic Part 1

Out in the desert, Timon and Pumbaa have been stranded for a good while. They have had no luck in finding water or near enough grubs. "Are we ever going to get a life?" Timon hesitated. Pumbaa never spoke but was serious about finding water and food. He has been sniffing a lot of the rocks, plants, dirt, sand, and most of the hills and cliffs but has had no luck. "I'm afaird we are out of luck Timon," Pumbaa said while turning to him- Timon was lying on his back sweaty and weak. "The desert is too hot and too large. We better have some luck finding shade." Timon suddenly grew weaker after hearing the word "shade". He also started to get very angry. "Shade! Shade! Look around Pumbaa, there IS NO shade to be found anywhere!" He started to sob and cry. Pumbaa on the other hand tried to calm him down.

Meanwhile, a few miles from where they were standing, out on the road Wile E. Coyote was seating up a trap to catch the only creature he is after: Roadrunner. After setting up the trap, he quickly darts to a nearby boulder and hides behind it. The "Beep! Beep!" sound was heard and the coyote was very pleased that he was coming this way. However instead of the bird running through the trap a large ACME company service truck ran through it. After it went through the trap, Wile came out of his hiding spot and ran to look at the trap. It did not work which got him very angry. So he tried to use himself for the trap and it worked but did effect him very badly. Just then, the real victim came by, stopped in front of the coyote and stuck out his tounge while saying his catchphrase and darted away on the road.

Hours passed and the coyote was out of luck on finding anything to eat. It was just then that he noticed two unusall figures walking by- a meerkat and a warthog. After seeing what the two creatures were, he started getting hunger issues and new food was on his mind. After coming up with a great plan, he ran away- probably going back to his den to form up a plan. With Timon and Pumbaa their progress in finding a nice, cozzy shaded area was far from slim. Timon grew so weak that he started moping the ground. "Timon! Are you alright?" Pumbaa said while helping him up. Timon's eyes grew very weak as he was about to pass out. Pumbaa picked him up gently and dropped him on his back. He contuined walking through the desert. Hopfully the two will find some shade.

Back at Wile's den, his plan is far from being planned out. He has used a lot of old ACME products to build a secert trap that would hopfully catch the two new rivals with one try. With a sigh of pride, he was ready to put his new trap to the test.

7 Life Lessons From Timon and Pumbaa (PHOTOS)

Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata, ain’t no passing craze
It means no worries, for the rest of your daaaaaays.
It’s a problem free philosophy,
Hakuna Matata.
(Bet you sang along to the start of this article!)
Timon and Pumbaa first made their appearance on one of Disney’s most popular classic, The Lion King in 1994. They were Simba’s saviours when he was poor and devastated after losing his dad.

They told the little guy to live by their favourite motto: Hakuna Matata.
That wasn’t the only important thing we learnt from them though. Check out the other seven we listed!

7 Things Timon and Pumbaa Taught Us

1. Pamper yourself.

There’s a reason why there is a “me” in time. Everyone needs time to themselves, no matter how busy you can get.
It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.
— Unknown
Take some time off every week, whether to sleep in on the weekends or to watch that new movie in theaters, to re-energise. It will do you good, I promise.
2. Keep negativity out of your life.

Life is too short to hang around people who make you feel poop about yourself. Instead, be surrounded with people who genuinely care for your well being and bring out the best in you!
When someone tells me “no,” it doesn’t mean I can’t do it, it simply means I can’t do it with them.
— Karen E. Quinones Miller
Don’t let a bunch of bummers rain on your parade! Dump those toxic relationships down the drain, and detach if you must. It’s going to be good for your heart in the long run.
3. Be yourself.

Cliché but true, there is only one you and millions of someone else, so why not stick to being unique?
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.
— Kurt Cobain
Sure, many people may not accept you(r stench), but eventually someone (like Timon to Pumbaa) will, and that’s when you know you’ve got something real. Always stay true to yourself!
Remember, you’re awesome.
4. Embrace the spotlight.

Even if you’re a shy one who prefers being behind the scenes, you should accept the limelight once in a while. No harm in having a little moment of glory.
You worked hard to deserve the attention, so enjoy it!
5. Don’t be afraid to try new things.

Guess what? You will always be afraid of that New Thing until you give it a try. Not to mention, you’ll be missing out on all the amazing things life has to offer.
When the last time you did something for the first time?

Take the leap of faith! Be adventurous! Go out there and compliment a stranger!
In Millennial terms, just #YOLO man.
6. Watch your mouth

Now, I’m sure many of us are guilty of saying things we don’t entirely mean in the heat of a moment or another. However, that doesn’t stop the fact that words are powerful things.
Disaster emanates from careless talk.
— Chinese Proverb
That said, think things through before letting it slip your mouth, because what’s said cannot be taken back.
